We’ve always been big fans of Pittsburgh Today Live. KDKA-TV’s weekday morning show does such a great job of covering our community and all the people, organizations, and movers-and-shakers that give our region its verve and vitality.
That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be going on the show every month for the next six months to share a little more about all the great work that our more than 100 designated restaurants are up to and how the public can get involved.
Our first segment (live of course, gulp!) will air on Monday, April 16 sometime between 9 and 10 a.m. If you’re like us and have trouble watching it in the morning due to work no worries, they always post segment links to their website.
So why PTL and why now? Well, you might have noticed that this website looks and functions a little differently than it did just a few days ago. Our series of appearances on the show, in addition to more visibility on a bunch of websites, radio stations, newspapers, magazines, transit shelters, and buses, is to help really get the word out more — and more consistently — about all of these restaurants who are dedicated to improving the health and well-being or our communities and the planet.
So tune in this Monday! Sustainable Pittsburgh Restaurant program manager Rebecca Bykoski will be spreading the good news and will be joined by Dennis Marron, the executive chef of Downtown’s or, the Whale. While we don’t want to give too much away, we can safely divulge that chef will be preparing two seasonal, sustainable, and delicious items — one more suitable for enjoying after 5 p.m.!
