Mark your calendar now for Silver designated Kaya’s spectacular start-of-summer FREE block party. Kaya’s love of everything tropical and exotic erupts onto the full width of Smallman Street with a massive fete of music, Caribbean inspired food and great vibes.
Musical acts range from nationally touring funk bands to mellow Rastafarian syncopations. Pulsing Carnival drumlines and elaborate dances keep the energy high all day long.
And since it’s a Kaya party, there will be ample festive drinks and spicy street eats from its oasis on Smallman.
The festival is free to all ages.
National touring headline act:
DJ Logic: One of the world’s most accomplished turntablists, DJ LOGIC is widely credited for introducing jazz into the hip-hop realms. DJ Logic will be joined by MonoNeon on bass.

Shaq Nicholson: funk-filled, blues-blasting, soul-singing sound.
The Clock Reads: Space-Jazz / Jam-Fusion.
Timbeleza: A KayaFest tradition! Infectious, driving Brazilian percussion brought to life by the fantastic dancers of the Pittsburgh Samba Group.
Brahctopus: 6 piece rock outfit playing originals from several genres spanning reggae, jam rock, psychedelic and funk.
Truth and Rites: Jamaican rhythms of Reggae, Dub, Ska and Soul, sharing warmth late into the night.
